Countrywoods Australian Shepherds   CH Headliner Of Sunny Brook CD  BMM

SIRE:  Ch Papillon of Meshlacon

DAM:  Ch Summer Breeze of Sunny Brook

Headliner had a magnificent show career, starting at the age of 5-1/2 months, where he won "Best Puppy Dog" at a huge show in Southern California (defeating 56 other puppies).

Then a few weeks later, when he was just 6 months old, we went to Las Vegas for their Silver Dollar Show.  He went "Winners Dog", earning his first 5-points, competing with over a hundred entries!

That was pretty much the way it went with him!  He was only defeated once in the classes, finishing with 4 majors titles, and 3 Reserves.

Headliner was the "Top Male", back around 1977-78, winning "Best of Breed", at something like 9 Specialties. He defeated over 1500 dogs before he was 2, which was quite an exceptional feat back then. By the time he was 5-years old, he had won "Best of Breed" in fifteen States.

Headliner was also a "Perfect 200 Obedience Dog" at home, but became a"Hey, Look At Me Clown", when he was at the shows!

He did earn his CD, and was also a hot worker on stock.  Had "we" learned more early on, he could have been titled in that as well. He did earn an 86 his first trial, and we got the boot his second!

Headliner was one of the greatest Ambassadors the breed ever had. I still love him with all my heart today, as I did back then.

Every dog I own is a descendant of his, some are his grandchildren, some are many generations removed.

To this day, I can still find a special one here and there,  who reminds me in some little way of the grand old man.

5 1/2 months old...his first blue ribbon.!

There were 18 4-6 month dogs in the class.

He then went on to win Best Puppy Dog.
