Our Aussie Angels

I wrote the following poem, back in 1976, shortly after having brought a beautiful little Aussie Pup, named Headliner.

He was the love of my life, and a truly beautiful foundation for my kennel. Words cannot describe the pure joy it was to have been on the other end of his leash.

A little Aussie, so soft and blue,

Oh sweet puppy, I love you.

I know you'll grow strong and true,

Your pedigree says so, thru and thru.

I saw you when you were brand new,

And right away I wanted you.

So, now you're here instead of there.
